Another day, another blog...
Hey kids!
Today was the epitimy of crap! Not only did i start work at 3pm and work till midnight, but i did it ill...
Thats right, your favourite sk8er kid dork guy has fallen ill. I can only hope that it is some form of mutant virus manifesting itself in me, like the X-men.
Speaking of x-men, lemmie dork it up here a little.
It seems that the general theme for the X-men is that you get cool powers, but they are as much of a hinderance as they help you. For example...s
Professor X - He is the worlds most powerful psychic, yet he cannot use his physical body very well.
Cyclops - Can shoot lazers from his eyes,(something we've all thought about at some point) but can never open his eyes without a protective screen in front of it.
Wolverine - Has claws made of unbreakable steel, but he has to hurt himself every time he uses them.
Rouge - Can absorb anyone's powers, but cannot touch skin to skin with anyone, for fear of putting them in a coma.
And lastly, Nightcrawler - Has arguably the coolest power (except for Gambit), he can teleport, but he looks like a blue devil, all the time.
All these guys have powers, but problems. Now i think i can relate that to real life.
I'm not saying i can teleport, read minds or shoot lasers (i wish). I'm saying that perhaps we all have our own kind of "powers" that are also our downfall.
For example, me, I am one of the most laid back people in the world, i keep my cool under pressure and very few things stress me out. But this means that i dont get as many things done as i could, and that i can be seen as lethargic.
There are more examples than that though, I know people who can do anything, in any ammount of time. But they are constantly "on", they stress about everything.
We all know people that are amazingly intelligent, but aren't very good at physical things. Again, the other way around, some people can run a mile in less than eight minuites, But are as thick as two short planks.
Some people are amazingly creative, and can draw, paint and write beautifully... But they can't memorise formulas the way some people can...
All i'm saying is that, like the X-men, we have our strengths, and our weaknesses. I think it's how we use them that matters.
I'm using my paitence to go work with children in America.
How are you using yours?
Keep it safe guys
