It's the little things....

Hey guys,

ok, sorry about yesterday, i was feeling hella crap. But today is a new (slightly less crap-tacular) day and i actually have something to talk about!

Think about this for a second. We at T.K.Maxx have a whole ton of halloween (nothing looks right for that...) stuff in... and it got me thinking....

Who buys this crap?!

We have Snowglobes (like it's gonna snow on a ghost...), Model witches and the two things that really annoyed me... A bucket and spade.

Not as a set mind.

The bucket was about a foot and a half across and about a foot deep. It had a witch Dancing on the front, whilst playing air guitar on her broom... It also featured two pumpkins that had aparantly been enchanted or something to play macaraneas. Go figure. I thought that was where the madness ended.... but then i saw the cat....

This small black cat was standing on one of the pumpkins, and was happily playing a tamborine. Ok, lets pretend that the cat does want to play in this band, rather than lick himself and sleep all day (and who wouldn't?!), and that he has somehow sorted out the claws ripping the skin of the instrument problem. Lets pretend those problems dont exist. All i have to say is that;

A. Cats can't stand on their hind legs! They will fall down! Especially if put onto something as unstable as a pumpkin, and especially not a dancing one!

B. Cats have no thumbs... He has no way to hold on to the tamboreen without dropping it! It's absolute madness!

But all that really pales in comparison to the other item i found afterwards. It was a spade. A Halloween spade.

It had all kinds of ivy wrapped around it, and moons and stars on the handle, and a nice picture of a few pumpkins on the head bit.

Now, its not the fact that people may buy this kind of thing that bugs me... It's the fact that there was someone who made this. Probably a factory. In my head it's a big grey building with a huge sign on the side saying "Halloween Spades".
And it got me wondering, what do those factorys do during the other 3 seasons? I assume they make them sometime during summer and ship them out sometime during autumn.... so what else do they do? It would be a huge job to change the factory floor around 4 times a year, to compensate for the changing demands of the retail industry. So what do they make?

Unless....

Unless they change whats sprayed on them... Halloween ones made during summer, Christmas ones made during Autumn, Easter spades made during winter, and..... Normal spades made in spring?

who knows, and y'know what? Reading over all that i realise that i dont care.... And shame on you for reading all this and wasting so much time...

But please, come back tomorrow!

anyhoo, all i did today was work, but tomorrow looks to be filled with car washing, (if it dosent rain) and cookie/brownie baking... Yum!

Catch y'all on the flipside!

My robot is, as they say on the webernet, t3h 5uX0r. It looks like a bin with an arm, and you get a dalek-ass. A little like Davros then, but that makes me sound all geeky and like a Dr Who fanboy.

Or like one of those battle daleks! Man, those were cool.

Also, perhaps the spade is for some festive corpse digging?
You may like this as well.

Now you're going to make me try and make my cat play the drums.
